New design plans released Tuesday for the $540 million Broadwest development underway in Midtown show a landscaped pedestrian plaza and outdoor dining areas between two glassy high rises.

The tallest tower, a 34-story building, will house 196 condominiums and a 237-room, 4-star Conrad Hotel (/story/money/2019/05/22/hilton-conrad-hotelnashville- broadwest-project/3711429002/) by Hilton.

Upscale office space will fill the other, 21-story high rise at the intersection of Broadway and West End Avenue in Midtown.

Baker Donelson law firm will take 70,000 square feet of the 510,000-square-foot office building. Robert W. Baird & Co. investment firm will also have offices there, and ServisFirst Bank has plans for a retail financial center.

Other tenants have not yet been secured.

A third, shorter building with creative office space is also underway.

Nearly half of the development area is reserved for a landscaped pedestrian plaza and outdoor dining areas.
