Midtown is slated for a Conrad Hotels & Resorts hotel, a Hilton boutique brand.
The upscale hotel will take space at Broadwest, the massive mixed-use project rising near the split of Broadway and West End Avenue and expected to carry a price tag of $540 million.
Propst Development, Chartwell Hospitality and Hilton Tuesday announced Conrad Nashville is slated to open in 2021. Huntsville-based Propst and Franklin-based Chartwell will co-own the hotel, which will offer 237 rooms, span 14 floors and anchor a 34-story tower (on the left in the image above) that also will include 196 condominiums.
A 21-story office tower with 510,000 square feet of Class A space is rising next to the hotel/residential tower. The two towers at 1600 West End Ave. will be supplemented with 125,000 square feet of retail and creative office space and be connected by a 1.5-acre plaza.
“As the third-ever franchised luxury property by Hilton, Conrad Nashville will set a new standard for luxury in our region, and we look forward to welcoming travelers from around the globe to experience Nashville’s world-class hospitality,” Rob Schaedle, Chartwell founder and managing partner, said in the release. “Hilton’s decision to bring a Conrad property in our backyard signifies that Broadwest will be a destination of its own, and we are honored to uphold the brand’s standards while adding our signature flair for visitors and locals.”
The development team has enlisted Atlanta-based Cooper Carry as the design firm and Hoar Construction as the general contractor. New York-based interior designer Champalimaud Design, which has crafted the aesthetics of high-end hotels globally, also is participating.
There are 35 Conrad hotels on five continents.
Martin Rinck, executive vice president and global head of Hilton's luxury and lifestyle group, cited the company's "longtime partner Chartwell Hospitality" is allowing for a "perfect fit" for the project.
Propst Development and Propst Properties are part of a family business founded in 2008. Chris Brown serves as principal.
